The European Commission has approved buying the Italian company Manucor, dedicated to the manufacture of biaxially oriented polypropylene film, used for packaging, by the bank Intesa San Paolo (ISP) and manufacturer of recycled paperboard Reno Medici (RDM) after finding that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the EU market.
The dossier, which was notified to Brussels on Aug. 7, was considered by the EU executive through the simplified procedure applies to cases less problematic.
